Classes

We offer classes for every level. Classes are generally assigned by experience and physical ability.

At Baek’s Taekwondo Academy you will learn practical and exciting techniques including:

  • Defensive & Offensive Kicks

  • Unique Footwork Systems

  • Blocks and Punches

  • Joint Locks and Releases

  • Self-Defense

  • Breaking

  • Weapon Training (sword, nunchaku and staff)

 

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

 
  • Gain exposure to a wide array of Taekwondo techniques, basic skills, poomsae (patterns) and sparring fundamentals.

  • Learn take-downs, blocking, kicking, striking, punching and sweeps. Learn both offensive and defensive combinations while improving speed and accuracy.

  • Training for all belt levels, and adjusted to accommodate varying ages. Beginner to advanced blocks, punches and kicks, poomsae (patterns), self-defense, and sparring fundamentals and practice.

  • Sharpen your techniques and hone your skills while learning advanced tactics (including kicking combinations, stances and footwork) and leadership skills. Focus on increasing stamina, flexibility and mobility.

  • Class dedicated to sparring training and practice. Learn to apply striking techniques, defensive combinations and breaking skills, while learning to think on your feet. Gain speed and confidence in all other aspects of your training by testing your skills on an opponent.

  • An invitation-only class for students who are dedicated to achieving their black belt in Taekwondo. This class provides extra instruction and training, including sparring strategy and techniques allowing students to train their reflexes, timing, footwork, and distance while simultaneously improving in all aspects of their practice.

    Minimum blue belt level required.

Little Tigers (Ages 5 - 6)
& Beginners Classes

Gain exposure to a wide array of Taekwondo techniques, basic skills, poomsae (patterns) and sparring fundamentals.



Advanced Class
& High Belts Classes

Sharpen your techniques and hone your skills while learning advanced tactics (including kicking combinations, stances and footwork) and leadership skills. Focus on increasing stamina, flexibility and mobility.


Regular Classes (Ages 7-12)
& Teenage Mixed Class (Ages 13+)

Learn take-downs, blocking, kicking, striking, punching and sweeps. Learn both offensive and defensive combinations while improving speed and accuracy.


Beginner & Novice
Sparring Classes - ON HOLD

Class dedicated to sparring training and practice. Learn to apply striking techniques, defensive combinations and breaking skills, while learning to think on your feet. Gain speed and confidence in all other aspects of your training by testing your skills on an opponent.

Family (All Ages)
Classes

Training for all belt levels, and adjusted to accommodate varying ages. Beginner to advanced blocks, punches and kicks, poomsae (patterns), self-defense, and sparring fundamentals and practice.


Family & Advanced
Sparring Classes - ON HOLD

Class dedicated fully to more advanced sparring training. Continual sparring practice allows students to train their reflexes, timing, footwork, and distance while improving their strategy and techniques.
